Beginning next month,
Cameron Mathison will have a second job on television, apart from his day(time) job as Ryan Lavery on
All My Children. Considered one of the hunkiest men in the realm of daytime dramas, Mathison will host TLC's first ever, new game show called
Your Place or Mine?
Now, if we were to go by the title and host of choice alone, images of the
All My Children eye candy auctioning himself off to contestants and asking the winner,
Your Place or Mine? could easily come to mind. However, before we get carried away here, have a peek into what's really in store on the new series, which is set to begin June 8 at 8pm.

I like Cameron better as a host than an actor. Good for him! Another Canadian makes good.

Each week, two families go head-to-head with one another for the chance to win brand-spanking new furnished rooms for their homes, or the right to steal rooms from their opponents. Contestants must go through an exciting combination of trivia as well as competitions involving home decorating. To further spice things up, whenever a family answers a question correctly, they get a choice either of picking a furnished room OR stealing one of the rooms their competitors have already won.
"I'm thrilled to be a part of TLC's first game show, and extremely excited about the fun concept,"
All My Children's Mathison said. "I think both men and women, of all ages, are really going to enjoy the show because there's a little something in it for everyone."
For his part, Brant Pinvidic, SVP for TLC programming, admits "It's often difficult to create programming that's appropriate for the entire family. He does point out however, that "With its fresh and modern take on competition,
Your Place or Mine? is perfect for everyone and will feature great families that will no doubt garner some cheerleaders at home. Cameron's experience with hosting and competing in competitions, combined with the fact that he's just a charming and relatable guy, makes him the perfect host for this type of show."
