Fans of All My Children will have to bid farewell to Alicia Minshew.  Fortunately, she won't be checking out of Pine Valley for good.  The actress who portrays Kendall on the ABC soap will be taking a break temporarily as she walks down the aisle by the end of this month, according to Soap Opera Digest.

Minshew and fiancé Richie Herschenfeld are set to tie the knot on October 26. The break will give the actress a chance to take a honeymoon and enjoy the newly married life. But what does this mean for Minshew's Kendall? Read on to find out.

Warning: Spoilers ahead!!!
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.

To introduce Minshew's exit, All My Children has set up a storyline that will see her character Kendall seriously injured.  In line with the catastrophic tornado plot that has recently plagued Pine Valley, Kendall will sustain some wounds that will leave her in a coma.

As of this moment, there is no word yet on when Minshew will return on All My Children.  But the actress assures her fans that "coming back is 110 percent happening."

Alicia Minshew joined All My Children in 2002 after the Kendall's seven-year absence on the canvas following the exit of Sarah Michelle Gellar, who had previously portrayed the character. Recently, Minshew and ABC execs have come to terms on a new contract deal that will allow her a two-month break from the soap.  Thus, Minshew will be leaving All My Children for most of the remainder of 2008.

Meanwhile, All My Children has been pre-taping scenes out of their normal sequence so that Minshew will not be off-screen for her entire two-month hiatus.

For more details about Minshew's exit on All My Children, grab a copy of the October 28 issue of Soap Opera Digest, which is already available on newsstands.
