Yesterday, viewers witnessed a series of tornadoes touched down on Pine Valley, literally throwing people around and changing All My Children forever.  The catastrophe will reportedly at least bring one character back in the form of Eden Reigel (Bianca Montgomery), but it will also take away the lives of several others. According to Soap Opera Digest, one casualty of the tornado is the character Babe given that her portrayer, Amanda Baker, will exit the ABC soap.

Warning: Spoilers ahead.

Baker joined All My Children on October 8, 2007 to portray Babe, a role originally portrayed by Alexa Havins.  In an unusual move, she debuted on the same day that actress Havins exited the role. (When Babe hugged her mother Krystal, it was Havins, but when the hug ceased, Baker was present.)

Last week, fans learned that soon-to-be-newly-re-weds JR Chandler (Jacob Young) and Babe Carey have decided to leave Pine Valley to start a new life in San Diego.  But due to a series of events, the couple was forced to return to Pine Valley in order for Babe to be questioned about her involvement in the Bella poisoning.  Unfortunately, Babe and JR do not make it to the trial as they find themselves directly in the path of a tornado.  And as the twister moves out, it will reportedly leave with devastation and death.

Babe, whose last airdate is set on October 23, will reportedly die from internal and external bleeding when she sacrifices herself for the life of her son.

"Going out with a bang is better than going out with a whimper!  And I'm definitely going out with a bang," Baker told Soap Opera Digest in the October 21 issue.

While the decision to cut the All My Children actress seems to be storyline dictated, other reports say the actress was blindsided by her dismissal.
