Victor Garber was born March 16, 1941 in London, Ontario, Canada. He started acting in children’s productions at the Grand Theatre in his hometown, at the age of ten. He moved to Toronto when he was 16 and joined the singing group The Sugar Shoppe which appeared on the Ed Sullivan and Johnny Carson shows. He has since become a leading performer on Broadway for over two decades. Garber has played in New York comedies and musicals and has been nominated four times for his performances in Damn Yankees, Lend Me a Tenor, Deathtrap and Little Me. On the big screen, Garber is best remembered for his roles as Goldie Hawn’s character’s ex-husband in The First Wives Club and as ship designer, Thomas Andrews, in James Cameron’s blockbuster, Titanic.
Jack Bristow, played by Victor Garber on Alias, is Sydney Bristow’s father and a long-time operative with the CIA. He was married to Laura Bristow, also known as Irina Derevko, who is a cunning and ruthless KGB agent.
