Are Tila and Bobby Still Together? Tila and Bobby: Who Broke Up With Whom? Born Tila Nguyen on October 24, 1981 in Singapore, Tila Tequila is the model turned celebrity after the launch of her widely popular MySpace page. When she was 18 years old, she was discovered at a mall by a Playboy scout and was eventually featured as Playboy's Cyber Girl of the week of April 22, 2002, consequently winning the title of the first Asian Cyber Girl of the Month. In 2001, she launched her website entitled "Tila's Hot Spot," which includes forums, chat sessions, picture galleries and a paid-premium membership section. This led her to launch several other websites in cooperation with various hosts. Nguyen then went on to appear on several magazine covers and reality television shows, and was later included in Maxim UK's Hot 100 List of 2006, placing #88. By the time she was 20, Nguyen ventured into music, recording songs and releasing them through iTunes. Despite her not having a major label, her song "I Love U," which was released on iTunes early in 2007, topped the iTunes charts within 24 hours.
Tila Tequila is featured on MTV's A Shot at Love With Tila Tequila, a reality dating show with a twist. Inspired by Flavor of Love, Rock of Love and I Love New York, the reality dating game features 32 men and women to compete for the ultimate prize of the affections of Tila Tequila.
After putting the contestants through a series of grueling tasks, some divided by gender, others individual, Tila's final two were Bobby and Dani. Tila Tequila's interests in singing and modeling played a role in the finale, as she took both with her to those two careers.
In the end, Tila Tequila chose Bobby. But at MTV's New Year's Masquerade 2008 that she and Bobby had broken up and she would again look for love in the spring, on another season of A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila.
According to Tila's MySpace page, her relationship with Bobby ended several days before New Year's Eve when he broke it off due to his inability to handle her hectic schedule. However, Bobby countered on his own MySpace page that after the finale, he was unable to call her and that no one associated with the show would give him her phone number, so he was unable to contact her. No matter who broke up with who or how it ended, Tila Tequila and Bobby were one of the shorter-lived reality TV romances, and Tila will aim for a second Shot at Love in season 2.
