The annual MTV Movie Awards is an event to look forward to not only for the recognition it gives to those flicks that have taken the box office by storm, but also for giving out awards for the more unusual things such as Best Kissing Scene. This year, the award went to Briana Evigan and Robert Hoffman for their smooch-session in the movie Step Up 2: The Streets
. However, before all the festivities for the highly-anticipated awards show began, MTV sat down with the queen of MySpace to talk about the intimacies of lip-locking.
Known for her bisexual love life as featured on A Shot at Love
, Tila Tequila
may be the best option to consult when it comes to making out. She says, “A great kiss, which I've had on my show, consists of a lot of exploding passion and just that tension that's been building up...It's like you've been waiting so long to kiss this person, and then you finally let it out, and it's like, 'Oh my God.'”
Tila's tips on lip-locking also include the don'ts. In fact, she says that if one is "stuck in a terrible kiss, run for your life."
"A terrible kiss happens when someone has very bad breath and their tongue actually feels like a rock, and it's stiff and it's cold, and it's like kissing a lizard — not that I know what that's like. But the tongue's not swapping smoothly with the saliva," Tila explained.
After Tila dished on her kissing guidelines, MTV asked her to rate this year's nominees for the Best Kissing Scene for the Movie Awards. The nominees include Patrick Dempsey and Amy Adams' kiss in Enchanted
, Shia LaBeouf and Sarah Roemer's scene in Disturbia
, Ellen Page and Michael Cera's scene in Juno
and Daniel Radcliffe and Katie Leung sudden kiss on Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
, which Tila Tequila deemed as her favorite, calling the scene "hot."
"Two nerds talking about wizards and spells, and out of nowhere, it's like, 'Oh, yeah.' I felt a release off of that one," Tila admitted. "They're kissing under the mistletoe? That's the perfect kiss. It gives every nerd hopes of finding love. I love nerds, so this is my favorite one. It's hot because it's so unexpected."
If you're into things unexpected too, don't forget to tune into A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila
every Tuesday at 10pm.
