Dani Campbell was many people's pick for Tila Tequila at the end of season one of A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila. Even a well-known comedian and performer like Margaret Cho weighed in on Tila's choice, saying, that Dani “is so sincere and beautiful. I'm angry Tila didn't pick her, because she's so sexy and honest -- the perfect sincere butch. I love her and am totally into her.”

So with Tila and Bobby Banhart not working out, will Tila reconsider her rejection of Dani? Sorry, Dani fans, no such luck, but the two will still be reuniting later this year. Dani will be appearing at the Dinah Shore Weekend in Palm Springs in April, and it has been announced that Tila Tequila will join her there as well.

One hopes the two have found a good friendship since A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila, as Dani's recently suffered a very sad loss and will probably still need the support of those close to her.

We all got to meet and love her grandmother Pat on A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila. She was the game, good-natured granny who invited Tila to give her a lap dance when Dani brought Tila home to meet her family.

It was a silly moment, but as anyone knows who's ever come out or had friends who have, it's not always easy to have all the generations of your family be so welcoming of and open-minded to your same-sex girlfriend or boyfriend. Heck, even in a hetero couple, a nude model MySpace phenomenon might cause some discomfort with an older generation, but Grandma Pat was a great sport.

Her good attitude won Grandma Pat a ton of fans. Dani noted that the hundreds of positive cards and letters she received helped her a lot as she continued her battle with bone cancer.

Unfortunately, we're very sad to report that Dani's grandmother passed away last month after living with the disease for seven years. Like other viewers, we thought that Grandma Pat was awesome, and our condolences go out to Dani and her family during this sad time.

During the end of her life, Pat stayed in hospice, and Dani has asked that if anyone can, they make a donation to that hospice in order to help others like her grandmother through the difficult time at the end of life.

Dani wrote, “If you would like to make a donation to Hospice please visit www.spectrumhealthcarefoundation.org. When you get to the site in the upper right hand corner click the "Donate online now" button. The next page will ask you what type of gift you would like to make, please select "memorial gift". This selection allows you to put "Grandma Pat" in the "In Memory of" box.”

Again, our thoughts are with Dani's family and we're glad we got the chance to meet Grandma Pat through the show.
