A Shot of Love
has become undeniably a huge phenomenon in today’s pop culture, with the topic of bisexual relationships being thrown into the television spotlight. In its two-season run, the show has managed to bring these topics into the limelight and spark discussion amongst viewers of all ages. In fact, our resident queen of MySpace and bisexual dating is claiming that she is partly responsible for revolutionizing the Californian laws on gay marriage.
"It is because of me — I definitely think [A Shot at Love] has helped the movement," Tila Tequila
told Us Magazine during the Hollywood premiere of The Love Guru
a couple of days ago.
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.
Moreover, the 26-year-old reality TV star says that going into the show, she wasn't very sure how it would be received by the viewers.
"Before it came out, everyone was still a little apprehensive about [same sex relationships]," Tila, who first became known as the woman with the most friends on MySpace, explained.
"Then they realized, 'Wow, everyone is really into this stuff, and it is fine.' The next thing you know, [gay marriage] is legal," she says. The Shot at Love
star was barely past her legal age when she began shooting photos for men's magazines, eventually landing a stint on television. Today, she is well recognized for being a model and a bisexual dating vixen through her hit MTV series.
Despite being seen as a wild child with a penchant for making out in front of the camera, the aspiring musical artist admits to wanting to get married sooner or later. When asked by Us Magazine if she wants to walk down the aisle one day, she replied, "I definitely want to. Definitely."
But the question still lies, what will be the gender of the person she brings to the altar? Does she tend to lean towards the male or female sex?
"Sometimes you feel like you get a little too much of one side, and you feel like the other side is better," Tila admitted.
As for her plans this summer, Tila says that she will be busy writing her "self-help" book and most likely will stay away from love. Does this mean that she has indeed found someone on the second season of A Shot of Love
? Tune in to MTV to find out!
