Catherine Mary Hicks first worked on Broadway then worked her way to the role of Dr. Faith Coleridge on the popular soap opera Ryan's Hope. This paved the way to more interesting roles such as her portrayal of Marilyn Monroe in the TV movie Marilyn: The Untold Story, which landed her an Emmy nomination. Subsequent to this, she made several television and movie appearances in Peggy Sue Got Married, Child's Play, She's Out of Control and Star Treck IV: The Voyage Home.
