As part of the upfront presentation to advertisers, Syfy has announced that Scare Tactics, the hidden camera show that puts unsuspicious victims into terrifying scenarios, will kick off production for the fourth season this spring, with a fall premiere target for the 13-episode order. 30 Rock actor Tracy Morgan not only returns to reprise his hosting duties, but to work behind the cameras as executive producer as well.
"We're ecstatic to be bringing back
Scare Tactics for another season to all our die-hard Syfy reality fans," Syfy executive vice president Mark Stern said in a statement. "Tracy has his finger on the pulse when it comes to comedy and having him on board as executive producer just adds another layer to the huge success of our show."
NBC Renews The Office, Community, and 30 RockMorgan, known for his stint on
Saturday Night Live, is the third actor to host
Scare Tactics, following Stephen Baldwin and Shannen Doherty. He currently appears as
Tracy Jordan on
30 Rock and can next be seen in the movie
Nailed.Meanwhile, the
30 Rock actor isn't the only one returning on
Scare Tactics. Scott Hallock and Kevin Healey of Hallock Healey Entertainment will also carry on with their duties as executive producers and creators of the show.
"First, having Tracy on board is huge. Second, Kevin and I have already started working with our writers on innovations that will make season four our biggest, scariest and most hilarious yet," said Hallock.
