Roger Cross as
Curtis Manning Born on October 19, 1966 in Christiana, Jamaica, Roger Cross relocated with his family to Burnaby, British Columbia when he was eleven years old. He has four siblings and is a graduate of Trinity Western University in Langley, B.C., where he majored in Aviation and General Studies. He discovered his passion for flying during his family's plane ride from Jamaica to Canada. Cross said, “coming from Jamaica to Canada was my first airplane ride and the captain allowed me to go into the cockpit to see how it all worked. I remember thinking, ‘I want to do this.' And thankfully I was able to accomplish that goal.”
As he was waiting to be employed in the aviation industry, Cross decided to use his martial arts background to his advantage and began working as a stunt man on various film productions. Soon, he became interested in the art of acting and consequently entered the Breck Academy in Vancouver. He then landed a role in the film The International Rescue, which gave Cross the opportunity to travel to Asian countries like China, Vietnam and Burma.
From there, Cross continued to hold steady acting jobs and appeared in numerous television series, which include Wiseguy, Neon Rider, The Hat Squad, Madison, Street Justice, The Commish, M.A.N.T.I.S., Sliders, Hawkeye, Strange Luck, The Sentinel, Viper, Millenium,
The X-Files , Higher Ground, Hollywood Off-Ramp, 2gether: The Series, First Wave, The Outer Limits, Relic Hunter, Andromeda, UC: Undercover, Taken, Enterprise, JAG, The Days and
The 4400 .
In 2005, he joined the cast of the popular television drama series, 24. He was given the recurring role of Agent Curtis Manning, but by the show's fifth season, Cross appeared as a regular. However, the following season, Cross' character was again reverted back to a recurring status and was eventually killed off the show.
Cross has also graced the big screen with his many film appearances. His movie credits includes World Trade Center, The Chronicles of Riddick, King's Ransom, X2, Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever, Kid Bang, Liberty Stands Still, Double Jeopardy and Look Who's Talking Now.
