Keifer Sutherland as Jack Bauer

Keifer Sutherland was born on December 21, 1966 in London. England. He is the son of Canadian actors Donald Sutherland and Shirley Douglas, and has a twin sister named Rachel. Shortly after Sutherland and his sister were born, their family relocated to Los Angeles, California. In 1970, his parents filed for a divorce, and five years later, Sutherland began living with his mother in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. While in Ontario, he pursued his academics in various schools, including St. Andrew’s College, Martingrove Collegiate Institute, Harbord Collegiate Institute, Malvern Collegiate Institute, Regina Mundi College and St. Clair Junior High School.

Although Sutherland is currently known for his portrayal of Jack Bauer on the Fox network drama series, 24, he has appeared in numerous films, displaying great versatility and acting prowess. In addition, Sutherland has also directed at least three feature films.

Among his most notable film credits are The Lost Boys, A Few Good Men, Flatliners, Young Guns, The Vanishing, Dark City, A Time To Kill, The Three Musketeers, The Sentinel, Eye for an Eye and Phone Booth.

For his tremendous achievement in the entertainment industry, Sutherland was inducted into Canada’s Walk of Fame in 2005 and has garnered several awards and nominations. His work on 24 earned him a 2006 Emmy award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series (a category for which he was previously nominated four times), a 2002 Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by a Lead Actor in a Drama Series, a 2002 and 2003 Satellite Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Series, Drama and a 2004 and 2006 SAG award form Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series.

Sutherland was once engaged to actress Julia Roberts (one of his co-stars in Flatliners), and has been married twice. His first marriage to singer Terry Kath lasted for 3 years, while his marriage to Kelly Win lasted for 8 years. His biological daughter, Sarah Jude, was born in 1988.
