24: Episodes 7.11 and 7.12 "6:00pm to 7:00pm" and "7:00pm to 8:00pm" Recap (Page 5/5)
Juma shuts down communication, fruitlessly shoots at the metal door.  A big shootout takes place somewhere else in the White House.  Juma's men are about to be outnumbered.  Juma, knowing that not everyone knows that the president is safe, tells the secret service that he has the president and if they don't evacuate, Juma will kill the president.  Why doesn't Aaron Pierce speak up?  The agents retreat, go outside.  Juma demands that the hostages be brought to him.  Aaron knows, and tells Olivia that he has to inform the agents that the president is safe so they can reengage.

One of Juma's men believes that he can get the panic room door open within fifteen minutes, assuming that the specifications Hodges (Jon Voight) gave them were correct.  Moss sets up shop outside of the White House – the head agent explains the circumstances.  Moss will need the go-ahead from the VP before going in.

The hostages are all brought outside of the panic room, seated.  Jack and the President watch the security camera of the hostages.  Jack realizes that the soldier is trying to break into the panic room.  He tries to jerry-rig the security panel – he succeeds in frying it.  No one can get in now.  Juma, pissed, tells the soldier to find a way.  The soldier doesn't think he can do it.  Juma gives a cryptic pep talk to his soldiers.  Juma calls up Hodges, who is watching the news and eating.   Juma tells him that they have a problem, that the locking mechanism has been shorted out.  Hodges says he's given all that he can – his part of the operation is over.  Juma tells him that Hodges hasn't received the shipment yet.  Juma says he'll destroy it unless Hodges finds a way to help him.  Hodges tell Juma that, according to manifest, Olivia Taylor is somewhere in the White House and she could be used as bait.

Senator Mayer is still on his Bauer Jihad.  He gets all uppity speaking with Buchanan.  Bill is having none of it.  Aaron and Olivia slowly walk the halls.  They have no way out.  The exits are blocked.  Aaron wants to leave Olivia somewhere safe – Olivia won't do it however.

Moss and team can't see anything.  They only know that the hostages are clustered in one spot.  Moss gets the Vice President on the line.  Moss believes that the president is indeed safe, and he wants the VP to authorize an offensive.  The VP is reluctant to give the go-ahead.  He says his priority is to keep the president safe.  The VP is a wuss – he will not authorize any action.

Aaron runs into a soldier and is shot, though Pierce manages to kill the soldier.  Pierce tells Olivia to get the signal out.  He tells her where a flashlight is and he writes out some morse code for her to flash.  Olivia races away, finds the aid kit with the flashlight.  She starts to give the code out the window, but is caught by soldiers before she can finish it.  She is brought to Juma.

One of Juma's men finds a camera in the chandelier – he knows that Jack and Taylor can see him and the hostages.  Juma places a chair under the camera and addresses Taylor.  He has Olivia placed in the chair.  He tells her that if she doesn't open the door, he will cut out her eyes one by one, then her tongue, and then her head.  Taylor yells at Jack to open the door.  Jack tells her that he can't open the door.  Taylor asks if Jack has a child, he says yes.  Taylor orders Jack to open the door.  Jack doesn't want to.  Jack opens the door, walks out first with his hands on his head.  Taylor is right behind him.  Jack sits with the other hostages.

Juma bitch slaps President Taylor. “You don't give orders to me,” Juma says.  “Get ready for your statement.”  “What statement?” Taylor responds. “The last statement you'll ever give.”  Beep-boop, beep-boop...
