The Madame Lady President Taylor goes out and gives her speech to the nation and in front of the press.  They applaud for a long time.  She gives the speech.  During the speech, Ethan is interrupted by a reporter who knows about Jack Bauer and Ryan Burnett.  He knows that Ethan authorized Jack Bauer, and that Burnett is dead, and that Jack is loose and being chased.  Ethan just walks away, straight to Olivia, who he thinks leaked the story to the press.  Olivia denies being involved, though she's not exactly upset that Ethan could be crucified for it.  Olivia continues to deny having anything to do with it. 

Moss speaks with Janis – she can't crack Walker's computer to get Bauer's location.  Chloe O'Brian could – Moss has an idea.  He tells Morris that if he helps them crack the code on Renee's phone conversations, they'll spring his wife.  Morris, due to his loyalty to Jack, says he will not crack the code.  Morris eventually relents – he'll do it for full immunity for Chloe.  Then, Morris gets to cracking the code by spouting a bunch of high-tech mumbo-jumbo.  Nonsense.  Morris reads the address.  Moss sends out the cavalry. 

Moss readies the troops to head to Maier's home.  Janis says they can't get a hold of Maier.  Moss believes Jack went there to get revenge

“It is impossible to overestimate Bauer," says Moss.  No truer words were ever spoken. 

Chloe is released.  She gets pissed at Morris for helping them catch Jack.  Chloe is worried about Jack.  We all are, Chloe.  We all are.

Jack looks at the Starkwood files.  Maier talks in the background, reminisces about the morning hearings.  Jack talks about his regrets – it's very emotional.  “You know what I regret the most?  That the world even needs people like me.”  Maier gets on his high freakin' horse, talks about torture.  Jack find a picture of a car accident in the files.  Maier can't see how it would be connected to Juma.  Jack blows up the picture of a cop.  It's Quinn – he made a murder look like a car accident. 

Jack puts the pieces together.  Starkwood funded General Juma's bio-weapon usage.  There's a lot of plot here.  They wanted a bio-weapon developed and used General Juma and their infiltration of the government to get away with it.

There's a knock on Maier's door.  The person outside says he's from Metro PD.  Maier convinces Jack that he can help protect him, now that he believes him.  He can order them to hear Jack out.  Jack relents, agrees to go back in with the authorities.  Maier opens the door – it's Quinn.  Quinn shoots Maier a few times, downs him, and then shoots at Bauer as he crashes out of the back window.  Right then, the real authorities show up, Quinn and Jack now on the run.  Now, they'll find a dead Maier and think it was Jack who has killed again.  Bad news. 

Olivia meets with Ethan and President Taylor.  Olivia denies all involvement in the press leak.  Olivia says she talked on the phone to a news network – she can guarantee that the leak came from a Federal Marshal.  Not only that, Olivia was able to work some magic and clean up the mess herself.  The President apologizes to her daughter. 

Jack is running away, and ends up near a construction site.  He climbs one fence just as he sees Quinn running after him.  Quinn follows Jack's drops of bloods.  He shoots open the same fence Jack climbed and searches, gun in hand.  He opens a door to a portable office and enters.  He shoots all through the office – he hits nothing.  Then, Jack rolls the portable office on its side with a massive bulldozer!  Yes, a huge bulldozer!  Quinn goes out on top of the office, and Jack leaps from the heavy piece of machinery and takes Quinn out.  They commence an epic fight that sees them rolling off the office and onto a car. 

It ends when Jack throws a knife in Quinn's chest, then jumps off the ground and levels him with a two by four.  He rolls Quinn over, then tells him he's dying.  Jack demands to know where the weapons are coming in.  Quinn, with his last words, says “They're already here.”  Jack gets Quinn's phone and finds the port where the weapons are being delivered.  Moss lets loose a shoot on sight policy with Jack after they find Maier dead.

Jack calls Tony, tells him to meet him at the Port of Alexandra, where the weapons are coming in.  Jack steals the construction site's truck and peels away.  Beep-boop, beep-boop...
