FOX Moves 'Enlisted' to 9pm, Adds Tate Donovan to '24'
Tuesday, January 21, 2014
FOX is shaking up its Friday night line-up and also adding yet another big name to its upcoming reboot of 24.
After two low-rated episodes, the new military comedy Enlisted is getting a slightly better time slot starting this Friday. The show will move to 9pm after originally airing at 9:30pm, trading places with Raising Hope. Enlisted, which was received strong critical praise but not very impressive numbers, will hopefully benefit from having new episodes of Bones as a direct lead-in.
24 Adds to the Cast
In addition, FOX has announced that Tate Donovan, most recently seen on CBS' Hostages, will be joining the cast of 24: Live Another Day. Donovan will play Mark Boudreau, the White House Chief of Staff who is also married to Jack's old girlfriend, Audrey Raines (Kim Raver). That also makes him the son-in-law of the new president, former Secretary of Defense James Heller (William Devane).
Other than Hostages, Donovan is also known for starring roles on The O.C., Damages and Deception.
24: Live Another Day focuses on Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) living in exile in London as the CIA tracks him down. The limited series will also feature the return of Mary Lynn Rajskub as tech expert Chloe O'Brien. The CIA team tracking Jack is run by Steve Harris (played by Benjamin Bratt) and featyres agents played by Chuck's Yvonne Strahovski and Gbenga Akinnagbe (The Wire, The Good Wife, Damages, Nurse Jackie) and a tech guy played by True Blood's Gilles Matthey. Other new cast members include Emmy winner Judy Davis and Michael Wincott.
24: Live Another Day kicks off with a two-hour premiere Monday, May 5 at 8pm and will air throughout the first half of the summer Mondays at 9pm.
