Marisol Nicholls as Nadya Yassir
Nadya Yassir is played by Marisol Nicholls on the hit series, 24. Currently employed as the Associate Special Agent in Charge of Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU)- Los Angeles, Nadya grew up in the United States, but was born in the Middle East. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Languages, and worked for the CIA as an Intelligence Agent For Middle East Territories and a Senior Intelligence Agent, before becoming part of CTU-Los Angeles.
Possessing beauty and a multitude of skills, Nadya is a member of the Muslim community and a serious Republican. She began her career at the CTU as the Director of Intelligence for the Detroit Division, and although she has proven her worth to the agency by negotiating with terrorist Abu Fayed (Nadya is fluent in Arabic), her Islamic heritage has made many question her loyalty and motives. When Homeland Security decided to conduct racial profiling, Nadia was immediately denied access to the network, which highly disrupted her work. She has also fallen prey to the discriminatory behavior of her colleague, Mike Doyle, and was interrogated by Mike when she was wrongfully accused of being a mole.
There has been one person who has come through for Nadya, and that is Internet Protocol Manager Milo Pressman. Milo defended her vigorously when Homeland Security was conducting their racial profiling operations, and even let Nadia use his account despite the risk of acquiring a felony charge. Milo also conflicted greatly with Mike Doyle, especially after Mike speculated that Nadia was deliberately feeding classified information to terrorists through her work station. Although Nadya told Milo that she did not have any romantic feelings for him, they shared a passionate kiss towards the end of Day 6, and subsequently remarked that the kiss would be unforgettable.
