Kiefer Sutherland, the human embodiment of Jack Bauer
, will make an appearance at the upcoming charity event, “Concert for Diana.” The Diana in question is, of course, the deceased Diana, Princess of Wales. The “Concert for Diana” is set to take place on July 1st, at the newly reopened Wembley Stadium in London, England. The concert, featuring an impressive array of performers and celebrities, is being put on by Diana's two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, as well as old friend Sir Elton John.
The concert is being held on what would have been Diana's 46th birthday. It is unclear what exactly Kiefer will do, but the smart money is on “interactive display of terrorist thwarting”, but you never know. All proceeds from the event will go to the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund and the charity Centrepoint and Sentebale, which helps quell poverty in Africa. Here's a look at who will be performing at the concert:
Those who have been officially confirmed: Lily Allen, Natasha Bedingfield, Diddy, Duran Duran, English National Ballet, The Feeling, Fergie, Bryan Ferry, Nelly Furtado, Roger Hodgson, Elton John, Tom Jones, Andrew Lloyd Webber, James Morrison, Orson, Status Quo, Rod Stewart, Joss Stone, Take That, Wix Wickens, Kanye West, Will Young.
Not a bad line-up so far. There have been rumors that The Spice Girls will make their reunion at the concert, but the whole world is hoping that this isn't the case. Isn't Victoria Beckham busy filming a reality TV show in the US, anyway? The word is that William and Harry hand-picked the artists and band who will be performing. We can only hope that, somehow, they give is a Tom Jones/Diddy duet.
The Concert for Diana will air on television world wide. Here in the United States, the concert will be aired live on VH-1.
