Last week on
24 Jack Bauer made a deal with the devil, joining forces with former President Logan to track down the mysterious Russian terrorist Gredenko and halt his nuclear menace. Their unlikely alliance lead them to a place Jack Bauer hasn't had much luck with in the past; a foreign Consulate. In this case it's the Russian Consulate, and if you think Jack Bauer will refrain from creating an international incident, you don't know
24! Read on for the latest on tonight, and next week's exciting
24!
Vice President Daniels arrives at the White House and wants to see Tom Lennox. Reed attempts one last time to get Tom into joining the conspiracy, but instead, as soon as Tom gets out of the room he sings. Now everybody knows that Assad, formerly accused of setting off the bomb, is in fact innocent.
Meanwhile, President Logan interrogates Consul Markov who says he doesn’t know a thing about Gredenko. Logan knows that Markov is lying, but leaves with Jack. Markov calls Gredenko to warn him. Meanwhile Jack knows what he has to do – the same thing that landed him in China
Karen has been stuck in DC waiting for her plane to LA. But when she hears about Palmer, she changes her plans - she will return to the White House and revoke her resignation.
After Jack, using a cigar cutter, clips off Markov's finger, Markov reveals that Gredenko is in the desert. But Jack gets caught and becomes a prisoner at the Consulate! Oh Noes! Looks like Jack Bauer's streak with foreign Consulates goes unbroken. Don't worry though, at this early in the game it's unlikely Jack will be hauled off to any foreign prisons.
If you think this is exciting stuff, wait until next week! President Daniels adopts his hard-line foreign policy warning Iran that if Fayed touches off one more nuke, they are toast! Meanwhile, Lennox is going to start participating in the hostile takeover of the US government, but purely out of self preservation.
And next week, get ready, it's Ricky Schroeder to Jack's rescue. The real question is, will Rick become the Chase of season six? Let's hope not!
