Why did you have to die, Rami Malek?
Okay, so the actor didn't die. His character did. You know, Marcos, he who locked himself up in an oxygen chamber and was almost saved by Jack until a remote trigger left him for dead? That explosion sucked. I wanted to see him in future episodes. Instead we have his flesh littering a hospital room.
Instead, we still get the stupid Dana Walsh storyline. No offense to Katee Sackhoff, but really? We won't see the last of it any time soon--not with parole officer Bill Prady sniffing around--but, man, if anything threatens the security of the world, it's not a nuclear bomb nor an abduction. It's a stupid storyline.
And that brings us to tonight's episode of 24. We left everything last week with yet another branch in the plot to detonate a bomb in New York: President Hassan's security head, who also turns out to be Kayla's lover. It seemed everything was fixed when the CTU got to the first daughter, but the promos suggest otherwise. Abduction. Hostage situation. Video cameras? Uh-oh. I smell another body.
The other thing is a threat that's closer to CTU than they thought. Yes, we had Hastings calling out "security!" so many times. Hostage situation number two, anyone? Can you please taka Dana Walsh away? At least Cole is working fine with his demotion... 24 returns tonight from 9pm on Fox.
