FOX Action
24: Episodes 7.11 and 7.12 "6:00pm to 7:00pm" and "7:00pm to 8:00pm" Recap (Page 1/5)
FOX aired a very special two-hour episode of 24 tonight.  The second episode was one of the best hours in recent 24 history.  As we hit the midpoint in 24 season 7, the writers have basically rebooted the day.  What happens, what Jack Bauer does and the newest threat to America are all astonishing in their audacity.  Some might take offense to the outrageous lengths 24 has decided to go, but, you know, that's 24.  The threats have to keep escalating.  This is what happened:

Previously on 24
:  Dubaku was caught by Jack Bauer, and they acquire a list of all the names involved in the government-wide conspiracy.  Sean Hillinger was caught and Marika died.  Renee and Jack got into a slap fight and we learned Ryan Burnett, chief of staff for Senator "Guy from That 70s Show" is part of the conspiracy.  Tony Almeida warned Jack of another terrorist attack.

Dubaku is in the ICU, still unconscious.  A nurse who actually isn't a nurse injects Dubaku with something, and Dubaku starts freaking out, flopping all around in his bed.

Lady Madam Female President Allison Taylor watches the news.  General Juma is claiming victory in Sangala amid the U.S. troop invasion.  Sangala is not winning.  However – General Juma is missing, nowhere to be found.  We cut immediately to General Juma.  He is in Washington, D.C. - he looks at the Capitol Building.  "It is almost time," says General Juma.  He asks an underling if his men are scared.  The evil, syringe-wielding nurse calls Juma and informs him that Dubaku is dead.  Juma's underling, it turns out, is Dubaku's son.  Juma does not tell him the truth.

Renee walks in to the ICU just in time for the doctor to call Dubaku's death.  She is confused.

Moss addresses the FBI office about what's going on.  Chloe, still in the office, gets a call from Jack Bauer.  He's in a car with Tony.  Just like old times, Jack tells Chloe that there is an imminent attack coming, and that it is high-profile and high-casualty.  Jack tells Chloe that there is a name on the list, Ryan Burnett, Senator Mayer's Chief of Staff, that they want Chloe to delete so that Tony and Jack can get to him before he lawyers up.  Good plan.

Chloe will do it, though she's skeptical that Jack will be able to interrogate a suspect illegally while in the White House.  Agreed – seems like a silly plan.  Chloe dramatically deletes Ryan Burnett as Janis enters the conference room.  Chloe is pretty icy to Janis.  It would make my year if the two of them got into an extended slap fight at some point this season.

Tony and Jack have a “talking through clenched teeth” contest.  Tony offers to go with Jack to the White House - bad idea, he'd be arrested immediately.  “I'm driving off a cliff here,” says Jack.
