24: Episode 7.9, "4:00pm to 5:00pm" Recap (Page 1/2)
On the last episode of 24, First Dude Henry Taylor was shot in the basement of a shoddy mini-mart.  Henry Taylor has had a very bad day so far.  And there's a good chance he might die.  Unfortunate stuff.  We're at hour nine of the seventh season of 24, and we're still toiling away with this Dubaku character.  I fear the writers are spinning their wheels a bit with the Dubaku saga, considering that he can't wreak much havoc anymore.  On the other hand, I suppose various facets of the government conspiracy could be unearthed during the pursuit for Dubaku.  We shall see.  What follows is a recap of tonight's 24.  Please enjoy.

The ambulance immediately shows up at the mini-mart to pick up Henry Taylor, who was just shot.  Jack Bauer attends to him – he is bleeding profusely now.  Jack is still all business.  He calls the White House, orders Walker to search the basement for any information she can find.  Jack talks to Madame President Allison Taylor.  Taylor takes the news as well as one could reasonably expect.  Jack tells her that they need to search for Dubaku, who Jack believes is currently attempting to leave the country.  Taylor tells Ethan she's going to the hospital – Ethan is not happy about that.  Bill says that she can drive her to the hospital.  Bill needs to get clearance back, and he demands that Chloe be brought in to the FBI for tactical support.  Madame President is particularly ornery today.  She wants Dubaku found.

Dubaku visits his girlfriend at her restaurant job.  He tells her that he has to leave the country tonight.  He tells her that he's been in the country illegally.  He wants her to come with him.  He yells at her – it has to be tonight.  Marika can't do it.  He promises that Rosa will join them soon.  It looks like he has convinced her.  She goes to get her things.  She leaves and he calls some white guy in an office who is making his flight arrangements for him.  He is going to meet the dude for a passport in fifteen minutes.

Walker gets a call from Moss. Larry is still worried about Walker's well-being.  Moss got a report about Vossler's wife being threatened.  Moss again hates on Bauer's worldview.  It's the same argument again.  While this was happening, Jack did some PDA cross-referencing and found the address for what might be Dubaku's safe house.  Nice detective work, Jack.

Marika goes home and finds Rosa in her wheelchair, watching TV.  She goes to her bed and starts packing.

Hey, it's Morris.  Morris O'Brian, played by our guy Carlo Rota.  Their child is in the backseat.  He is dropping Chloe off at the FBI.  Prescott is the kid's name.  They're still a couple.  Good for those two kids.  Chloe is met by Moss inside the FBI.  Chloe and Janis will be going at it soon, I feel.  Chloe makes fun of how the FBI's network is set up, turns out it was Moss who set up the network.  Oops.  Moss makes a snarky comment about Jack, and Chloe is not happy about it.  Janis is suspicious.

Dubaku meets white guy in a hotel lobby.  He gives Dubaku passports and an itinerary.  He demands a car for his girl.  Dubaku thinks these guys have no use for him now, and may view him as a liability.  To cover his bases, Dubaku tells whitey that if something were to happen to him on his way out of the country, damning evidence will be released to the authorities.  The white guy makes a call, and tells whoever is on the other line that they need to make sure Dubaku gets out of the country safe.

Rosa catches Marika packing, and the two start arguing.  As Marika is about to leave, Jack and Walker break into the apartment.  Jack has his gun out, scares the hell out of both women.  He shows them a picture of Dubaku, Marika tries to lie, but Rosa says that they know him.  Marika is very frightened.
