The upcoming season of Smallville will be its last, which means anything can happen. Will Clark Kent finally fly? What familiar faces will be back? Those questions and more were answered at the Comic-Con panel.

Here are the highlights:

-The big returning face and surprise guest at the panel was John Schneider. That's right, Clark's dead dad John Kent will return for the final season in some capacity.

-For the flying question, all the producers would say is that everyone knows how the comics end, which is as close to a "yes" on the flying question as we're going to get.

-A video was shown with scenes from Smallville season 10 featuring Lois in the desert, the infamous red and blue suit, a little flying action and a few of the big returning guest stars (like Laura Vandervoort as Kara).

-The big villain showing up is Darkseid from the comics, though the Smallville version will be different.

-Erica Durance will appear in all 22 episodes this season while Justin Hartley will be in 17.

-The producers are leaving the door open to the possibility of Michael Rosenbaum returning and urged fans to give him a nudge if they want him back.

The final season of Smallville premieres September 24 at 8pm.
