10 Items or Less is the comedy series on TBS with a partially scripted plot combined with improvisational elements. The show, created by acclaimed comedy actor John Lehr, goes behind the scenes at a family-owned grocery store being run by a swarm of interesting characters.
10 Items or Less is about a struggling New York businessman, Leslie Pool (John Lehr) who returns home to run the family supermarket, Greens & Grains, after the death of his father. He tries to control his dysfunctional staff comprising of the wacky stock boy, Carl (Robert Clendenin), the fiery produce worker, Yolanda (Roberta Valderrama), the promising bagger, Buck (Greg Davis Jr.), the naïve customer service representative, Ingrid (Kirsten Gronfield), the ambitious cashier, Richard (Christopher Liam Moore) and the womanizing butcher, Todd (Chris Payne Gilbert). He tries to promote a positive working environment while also taking on a prissy competitor, Amy (Jennifer Elise Cox), who manages the Super Value Mart down the street. 10 Items or Less is produced by John Lehr, Nancy Hower and Robert Hickey, and airs Mondays at 10:30 PM EST/9:30 PM CST on TBS.
