Anne Slowey is the host of the CW’s reality show, Stylista. She comes to the program with wide experience in the fashion world, culminating in her current position as fashion news director for Elle magazine. She also writes a monthly column for the magazine, where she offers advice to fashion-worried readers. She was also a judge for Project Runway’s second season, substituting for regular judge Nina Garcia (who also works at Elle), where she infamously dismissed a design as “something [her] cat coughed up.”
In Stylista, eleven contestants will work as assistants for Slowey, and will each perform an assistant task and a fashion editorial task. At the end of each episode, she will deliberate, along with Elle’s creative director Joe Zee, and eliminate one contestant until the remaining assistant gets an editorial position in the magazine, as well as a paid lease on a prime Manhattan apartment and a one-year clothing allowance at H&M.
