Annalisa Petralia was educated at Hofstra University's School of Communication in Hempstead, New York. She is currently the news anchor and reporter for the 5:00pm newscast on KYTX Channel 19 News in Tyler, Texas. She was also part of the inaugural morning show team that launched KYTX in August 2004. Prior to her career in KYTX, she began her career in journalism at a local radio station near Manhattan and later ventured into broadcast journalism. It was then when she moved to WABC-TV, then News 12 Long Island and WNYE-TV, finally settling in KYTX. Petralia is also a member of the Radio Television News Directors Association and the National Broadcasting Society.
Annalisa Petralia is featured on FOX's Anchorwoman, a comedy/reality hybrid that throws swimsuit model Lauren Jones into the evening news arena as she attempts to be a newscaster. Reigning anchor Annalisa isn't about to let it all slip through her fingers as she fights for her title as the best news anchor in the news company.
