Twenty-nine-year old Amanda Harmer from Oklahoma City is the only child of an accountant and a draftsman. In 1996, she graduated high school as a valedictorian and immediately pursued her art degree at the University of Oklahoma. Three years later, she met her husband
Neill , whom Amanda married in 2004. Soon, she gave birth to her first baby boy, Aiden. Currently, she works as an art teacher at the Oklahoma Ciry Art Museum and the Fine Arts Institute in Edmond Oklahoma. During her free time, she immerses herself in painting, photography and eating. Amanda's New Year’s resolution is to get thin before Aiden realizes that she's fat.
Amanda teamed up with her husband Neill on their mission to lose weight. The two have been married for more than three years, have decided to overcome a major challenge in their life together, as most couples do. Neill and Amanda comprised the White Team on NBC's The Biggest Loser 5. Amanda initially weighed in at 204 lbs. They were eliminated in week 3, with Amanda weighing 185 lbs.
