Adam is one of those high school students who dip their hands in every extracurricular activity imaginable. He is perpetually perky and melodramatic, as his friends expressly tell him all the time.
Adam is one of the student journalists in the MTV reality show
The Paper . It features the daily grind involved in producing The Circuit, the multi-awarded newspaper of Cypress Bay High School in Weston, Florida. As the advertising manager, it's Adam's job to rake in revenue for the paper via ad placements. His tireless personality and gift of gab both work for him in this respect, although he does have a tendency to crack under pressure.
On The Paper, he is one of the most animated personalities. He is well-liked and popular despite being harsh and mean at times. He is one of the four juniors who applied for the editor-in-chief position, which went to
Amanda , the former copy editor. As early as the first episode, Adam made it clear that he does not like Amanda and her overbearing and power-tripping ways, and he frequently starts Amanda hatefests when he hangs out with the other newspaper staff.
Despite his outgoing and funny personality, Adam is a serious journalist at heart. He laments about the proclivity of American media, even the most prestigious ones, such as Time and Newsweek, to succumb to popular pressure and write about juicy celebrity scandals rather than major political events. When he's not busy with The Circuit, he goes door-to-door in South Florida to campaign for Hillary Clinton in the 2008 presidential elections.
