John Kubicek, Editor
John is a New Jersey-born TV critic who now calls Seattle home. When he's not reading or writing about TV, he's watching it. He manages to squeeze in more than 50 hours of TV a week, everything from Lost to One Tree Hill to The Colbert Report. He'll also watch anything on cable, especially everything produced by HBO, Showtime or FX. The Wire is the single best show on TV, and one of the finest achievements in the history of television. That is not an opinion, it is objective fact. John graduated from Drew University with a B.A. in Mathematics (minoring in English and Philosophy), and briefly attended the University of Maryland's doctoral program in Mathematics before dropping out to watch TV for a living.
Kimberly Wetter, Senior Writer
Kim Wetter is a Whitman College graduate with a degree in Rhetoric and Film Studies. Her long time television obsession has been Veronica Mars and she even wrote her thesis on the ratings struggle of the show. Veronica Mars is "proof that TV can be far better than cinema" (thanks for the quote Joss). Kim is also a sucker for the old WB era and misses the days of Dawson's Creek and Buffy. While not watching TV, she is perfecting her throw at the ping pong table. Around these parts, she is also known as the Twilight expert. Kim aspires to someday follow in the footsteps of JJ Abrams, Joss Whedon and Rob Thomas. Or at least just meet them.
Meghan Carlson, Features Writer
Meghan hails from Walla Walla, WA, the proud home of the world's best sweet onions and Adam West, the original Batman. An avid grammarian and over-analyzer, you can usually find her thinking too hard about plot devices in favorites like The Office, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and How I Met Your Mother. In her spare time, Meghan enjoys drawing, shopping, trying to be funny (and often failing), and not understanding the whole Twilight thing. She's got a BA in English and Studio Art from Whitman College, which makes her a professional arguer, daydreamer, and doodler.
Abbey Simmons, Features Writer
Abbey Simmons is a Seattle Native who loves just about everything about her hometown, especially the fact she can see the Space Needle from her desk. When Abbey isn't writing about television and bad fashion for BuddyTV, she's writing about music on her website Sound on the Sound, which focuses on the vibrant Seattle music scene. Abbey laments that her favorite TV shows are no longer on TV for her to write about: The West Wing and Six Feet Under, you are dearly missed. Before becoming a professional blogger, Abbey studied American Politics and Foreign Policy at the University of California at Santa Cruz. To this day, she still claims her college mascot is the best in the country, the fighting Banana Slugs!
Thank you so much for your continued support! We look forward to providing you the best news on your favorite TV shows.
