Actress Michaela McManus, who is best known for playing Lindsey on the fifth season of One Tree Hill, didn't have a particularly compelling role on the series. Despite being engaged to lead character Lucas, Lindsey spent much of her screen time worrying that her fiance was in love with someone else. She eventually called off the wedding and vowed never to give Lucas another chance, only to randomly return and declare her love for him in the season finale. McManus brought a certain authority to the role, but she was never given much to do.
According to TV Guide, McManus will soon be moving on from the wacky love triangle shenanigans. The actress recently landed a major role as the new assistant district attorney on Law & Order: SVU.

The fifth season finale of One Tree Hill left us with one of the biggest cliffhangers of the television season. A moment before the episode came to an end, Lucas called up a very special girl and asked her to go to Las Vegas with him to get married. The question that remains is: which girl did he choose? It could have been Peyton (Hilarie Burton), who he had subconsciously been pining for all season. It may have been Brooke, who he had grown close to after the arrival of baby Angie. Or maybe it was former fiancée Lindsey, who called Lucas and admitted that she was still in love with him. We'll find out the identity of the mystery woman when the sixth season of One Tree Hill premieres September 1 on the CW.
Though we don't have the answer to the big cliffhanger, we do have plenty of other juicy spoilers for season 6 of the series. Read on at your own risk!

When I think of relevant, beloved, respected awards shows, the first ones that come to mind are the Oscars and the Emmys. The Teen Choice Awards probably wouldn't even land in the top 10 of such a list, but there's no denying that they cater perfectly to their audience. Unlike the MTV Movie Awards, which often make me gasp in horror at some of the nominees (Transformers for Best Movie? No.), the Teen Choice Awards often get things right, honoring an interesting mix of respectable fare and solid entertainment. The 10th annual special, hosted by Miley Cyrus, will air Monday, August 4 on FOX.
The nominees for the 2008 Teen Choice Awards were released today, and to no one's surprise the CW racked up a ton of nominations. Shows such as Smallville, Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill will be vying for top prizes. Read on for the complete list of nominees.

One Tree Hill's Nathan Scott (James Lafferty) isn't the best father in the world, but at least he's better than his own dad (which, to be fair, isn't hard). Sure, Nathan became a dad while still in high school, he became a drunken mess ignoring his family after an accident, he lusted after his son's nanny, and he fought with his wife while his young son fell into the pool and almost drowned. But just look at him. Sometimes all you need to become a hot dad is a good body and potent sperm, not actual parenting skills.

If you tuned in to season 5 of One Tree Hill you probably had your fill of the love rectangle between Lucas, Brooke, Peyton and Lindsey. Much of the season was devoted to Lucas attempting to decide between married life with Lindsey or rekindling his past with Peyton (Hilarie Burton), but Brooke's baby mama drama also had an impact on him in the last few episodes. The season ended with Lucas calling one member of the trio and inviting her to Las Vegas for a quickie wedding. Who he called remains a mystery, but I think most fans assume that it probably wasn't Lindsey. After all, actress Michaela McManus is but a guest star.
Much to the dismay of those of us who are a bit tired of the love square, creator Mark Schwahn recently confirmed in an interview with The CW Source that Lindsey is sticking around for season 6. Could she be the one who received the fateful phone call from Lucas?
