Chuck: They say when you love something you should set it free...
Blair: They say when you hate something you should slam a door in its face!
Chuck: I love it when you do that
(Blair slams door and smiles)

Chuck: Let's take it slow this time. Do it right.
Blair: Chuck Bass is a romantic...! who knew?
Chuck: Now you do, and it's all what it matters.

Chuck: You don't belong to Nate. Never have, never will.
Blair: You never belong to anyone.

Georgina: I never meant to get in between you two. I swear.
Dan: Please, it's okay.
Georgina: No, it's not. Because now she's upset.
Serena: Yeah I am...! You manipulative, psycho !@#!@! You have been planning this this whole time!

Blair: Isn't there someone else you can torture?
Chuck: Yes, but I choose you

Blair: Well, I'm aware I lack some people's easy grace with strangers. I don't exactly make you feel like you've known me forever even though we just met. When I laugh, you might not smile just at the coquettish sound of it, and I may not be spontaneous or delightful or full of surprises, and my hair not sparkle when it catches the light (pause) everything worth knowing about me is in that folder! I made sure of it!

Chuck: For what it's worth, Humphrey, you had my back. Never thought I'd say this, but thanks.

Gossip Girl: Spotted: Dan Humphrey, shoeless and clueless. That's all.

Dan: wow. Someone love Chuck Bass

Blair: 3 words, 8 letters, say it and i'm yours

Dan: So he just got up and left, abruptly?
Blair: Like a Bass out of hell.

Agent: You girls have been getting a lot of press. You've got talent. Who's the designer?
Jenny: It's me.
Agnes: And I'm the face of the line, and brains of the operation.

Agent: Who do you imagine your client will be?
Agnes: Girls like us-
Jenny: Sophisticated girls with a bit of edge, and who can afford a high-end product. I know these girls and their style because I'm their peer, and that's what makes me unique as a designer.

Jenny: And yet another one bites the bust, Agnes. What is the matter with you?! This guy was our last chance!!!!
Agnes: Okay he totally overreacted! We're artists! We need to work with somebody who's not gonna be freaked out by a little bit of passion.
Jenny: Passion. You know the heat from the fashion show's not gonna last that long ...
Agnes: Jenny, I will find us another business manager tomorrow.
Jenny: Good, because without one we can't meet with any buyers.
Agnes: It's all gonna work out, okay? I'm on it.

Emma: They call him the de-virginator!
Blair: Oh my God! stop your mouth
from moving...!
Emma: But now that I finally have the night away from my mom and dad, we'll see who's first. We're saying TTFN to my you know what!
Blair: Or maybe we'll see how your mom feels about your little clearance sale, little Lohan.

Emma: But you're perfect!
Blair: True.

Dan: Seeing you the other night was very nice. I know the first leg of the Dan-Serena let's be friends tour was a disaster, but...
Serena: Well, we were young and stupid then. Now we're older and wiser.
Blair: You have to help me destroy Chuck Bass!
Dan: I'll take that as my cue to leave.
Blair: Aww!... you're very understanding!

Serena: I hate that stupid headband.
(pulls Blair's headband)
Blair: Ow! My Headband!

“And how do you plan to introduce him? 'Mom, you DVR Big Love. This is Aaron, and he's just like Bill Paxton, only younger and with scruff.'” – Blair

”When I was 13, I find the most amazing surveillance photos of Gina, my hot Italian au pair. Those photos and Gina changed my life.” – Chuck

”This is the worst Thanksgiving of all time, and if we have to wander the Upper East Side like outcasts in a Jane Austen novel, so be it.” – Blair

Gossip Girl User Reviews Write a review

Season 2 Episode 1 Wow the first episode in season 2 was great. I loved it when Blair said mother chucker. I think Chuck and Blair should be together. I don't know why he is so stubborn and just can not say I love you. Super excited about Serena and Dan being back together. And what about Nate and his married lady friend? Where will that story line go? I really want Nate to find someone he can be with as he is so good looking. Wondering what is in store for Jenny considering she iterned over the summer and no one realized she was friends with Eric. Wasn't the look on her bosses face the best when she walked into the party. Can't wait for tomorrow for the 2nd episode in season 2.

Gossip Girl: Get Rid of Aaron Rose!

November 20, 2008

John Patrick AmedoriThe on-again, off-again relationship between Serena and Dan has never been the best thing about Gossip Girl.  They simply can't compare to the mischievous duo of Chuck and Blair, and there were times during the S and D maelstrom that I wished they'd simply move on to other people for a while.  The introduction of Aaron Rose -- Serena's artsy, polyamorous new boy toy -- initially seemed like a step in the right direction.  Everyone needs a good rebound guy, even if that guy has a tween beard and a penchant for girlie scarves.  Unfortunately, due to some serious miscasting, Aaron has become a plague on both Serena and Gossip Girl itself.  Who do I have to blackmail to convince the writers to permanently ship Aaron off to the Hamptons?

'Gossip Girl,' 'Chuck' Show Runner Josh Schwartz to Pen New 'X-Men' Film

November 19, 2008

Josh Schwartz was the youngest show runner in the recorded history of television when he created and took the reins of The O.C. on FOX.  When that iconic teen drama came to an unsightly end, Schwartz quickly bounced back, bringing two series to network air at the same – NBC's Chuck and The CW's Gossip Girl.  Both are highly regarded among critics and have reached some modicum of success (in the world of TV, making it to a second season is an accomplishment in and of itself).  A screenwriter first and foremost, Schwartz has been hired to pen his first big movie project.  FOX has brought him in to write (and possibly direct) the next X-Men film, tentatively titled X-Men: First Class

Gossip Girl Aftergasm: Snooping Leads to Loneliness

November 18, 2008

Jessica SzohrThanksgiving is my favorite holiday ever. Think about it. The holiday doesn't have any basis in religion, and there isn't any obligation to give gifts. Sure, you'll have to sweep the genocide of the indigenous peoples part of the holiday under the rug, but what better way to ease your conscience than to dull your senses with a turkey and pie-induced stupor?

Thanksgiving in real life is still more than a week away, but in Gossip Girl-land, it has already come and gone and imparted important life lessons to all and sundry. This year, the lesson learned was that snooping around in other people's business is bad and if you do such a terrible deed, you'll likely have to spend Thanksgiving alone, in a car, keeping tabs on your wife as she shares a happy, wholesome meal with her old flame.

Gossip Girl: Episode 2.11 "The Magnificent Archibalds" Recap (Page 1/3)

November 17, 2008

John Shea, Wallace Shawn, Margaret Colin and Leighton MeesterSpotted: Blair Waldorf clashing with her mother's new man, Cyrus Rose.  Last week's episode of Gossip Girl found B going head to head with Eleanor's new beau, who eventually managed to win Blair's heart by successfully out-scheming her.  Also acting devious was Little J, who attempted to cut Agnes out of her business deal, only for the crazy model to retaliate by burning all of her designs.  Those flames were much hotter than the chemistry between Serena and Aaron, which continues to be non-existent.  Can someone please ship Boring Aaron off to Chino, or at least the New York equivalent?

Tonight's episode of Gossip Girl is a Thanksgiving extravaganza, which means it's time for some tasty turkey served up with a side of horrible parenting.

Exclusive Interview: Connor Paolo of 'Gossip Girl'

November 17, 2008

Connor PaoloConnor Paolo plays the youngest member of the van der Woodsen-Bass blended family on Gossip Girl.  Paolo's Eric is Jenny Humphrey's best friend, and quite possibly the only character in all of Gossip Girl with a clear head on his shoulders.  Funny thing, too, because Eric van der Woodsen started out the series checked into a mental institution.  Since then, he has come out of the closet, gotten a super-cute new boyfriend, Jonathan, and a new older step-brother to look up to in Chuck Bass.

Connor spoke to BuddyTV about some of the exciting new things that await his character on Gossip Girl, and about his off screen relationship with his fellow castmembers.
