The world of Gossip Girl can never stay happy for long. Though the season 2 premiere featured Jenny (Taylor Momsen) finally getting some respect as a fashion intern and Dan and Serena putting aside their nonsense to get back together, the recent announcement of two new recurring characters will certainly put a stop to that.
Willa Holland and John Patrick Amedori are joining Gossip Girl in recurring roles that will provide some trouble for the Humphrey children. Holland will play a 16-year-old model named Agnes in at least three episodes while Amedori will show up as Aaron Rose, a potential suitor for Serena.

Gossip Girl is back and better than ever. I agree with my fellow BuddyTV staffer Don Williams that there is no sophomore slump in sight. Blair (Leighton Meester) was at her bitchy best last night, delivering one liner after one liner with perfect contempt. The way that she went from being dismissive of “James” to being sycophantic of “m'Lord” to being heartbroken when Chuck couldn't say those three little words was just brilliant. Of course, that Basstard, the Mother Chucker himself, was in rare form as well. How is it that Ed Westwick can woo me so easily with his skeaziness?
However, there's one thing that I would like changed, please. The only thing that would make Gossip Girl better would be if they re-vamped Dan Humphrey's character.

Welcome back, Gossip Girl addicts! When we last left the scandal-loving teens of the Upper East Side, romantic drama had taken over the streets of New York City. Lily married Bart after having a one night fling with Rufus, Dan and Serena broke up thanks to the machinations of Miss Georgina Sparks, Nate and Vanessa (Jessica Szohr) broke off their whatever it was with little more than a shrug, and Chuck tried to decide between settling down with Blair or continuing life as a complete man-whore. Can you guess which option he chose?
In tonight's second season premiere, the gang falls into summertime trouble in the Hamptons. There's nothing like a warm beach and a little sunshine to shake off some heartbreak.

The wait for the new season of Gossip Girl is finally over. Tonight, we'll be able to catch up with our favorite band of spoiled rich kids. Probably, most of us fans aren't accustomed to the jet-setting lifestyle of the fabulously wealthy, so this might be the closest we'll ever get to summering in the Hamptons.
Tonight's season premiere, punnily entitled “Summer, Kind of Wonderful,” finds our favorite denizens of Manhattan's exclusive Upper East Side winding down their summers at an exclusive party at the Hamptons. Blair has returned from Europe with a new hottie on her arm, making Chuck seethe with jealousy. Nate, having broken up with Vanessa at the end of last season, is clearly up to no good, and I've got some juicy video clips of tonight's Gossip Girl episode.

The season premiere of Gossip Girl is right around the corner, scheduled to air on the CW this Monday at 8pm. Obviously, I am over the moon about this because OMG, ILSABRWT! (That's “I love shows about beautiful, rich, white teenagers” in GGspeak, of course.)
When last we saw these beloved characters, everyone was broken up and sad. Serena (Blake Lively) and Dan (Penn Badgley) broke up, and Jenny (Taylor Momsen) waved the white flag to Blair (Leighton Meester), the true Queen B of the Upper East Side—the B standing for “bitchiness,” of course. Chuck (Ed Westwick) and Blair (Leighton Meester) were positioned to be Manhattan's new power couple, but Chuck, fearing commitment, ditched her at the heliport. Also, Nate (Chace Crawford) and Vanessa (Jessica Szohr) broke up, but they were a couple for, like, two seconds, so it hardly seems to matter. Anyway, the point is, everyone is single and miserable, which sets up the season premiere perfectly, and I've managed to get my hands on some juicy clips from the season premiere.

The fact that Gossip Girl returns for its second season this Monday actually makes me squeal with delight. As a grown man I should probably be ashamed of that fact, but I can't help myself. I've been dying to know what diabolical schemes the kids of the Upper East Side will cook up in season 2 of the CW series. Can the writers for the show possibly top the crazy antics that went on last year? We'll soon find out.
To get fans pumped for the return of the scandal-loving teens, the CW has released the first five minutes of the season premiere online. Read on to check it out, and decide for yourself if it's OMFG-worthy.
