Paul Young (Mark Moses) is a widower who lived on Wisteria Lane. He and his wife Mary Alice (Brenda Strong) bought a child from a drug addict and Mary Alice killed the woman when she came to retrieve him. After Mary Alice is threatened by a neighbor, Martha Huber (Christine Estabrook), she kills herself. Paul kills Martha because he feels she is responsible for his wife's death. His son Zach (Cody Kasch) becomes angry with his father after he finds out the truth about his background. Martha's sister Felicia Tilman (Harriet Sansom Harris) frames Paul for her murder and disappears. Paul serves 10 years for Felicia's murder until the police realize she is still alive. He returns to Wisteria Lane after his release to try and get revenge on everyone who deserted him. Paul is shot by a mysterious assailant after attempting to open a halfway house for ex-cons in the neighborhood.
