Holly Harper (Patricia Wettig) is the former mistress of William Walker (Tom Skerritt) on the TV show "Brothers and Sisters." After William's death, it comes to light that she had an affair with him that lasted for more than 20 years. Upon learning of the affair, the Walker family comes to believe that Rebecca (Emily VanCamp), Holly's daughter, was fathered by William.

William Walker left a great deal of money to Holly and Rebecca in his will, and Holly uses this money to buy a controlling interest in Ojai Foods Company, the business the Walker family previously controlled. As chairwoman and CEO of the company, she has a great deal of control over the financial fate of the Walker clan, as most of their fortune is tied up in the company.

It is eventually discovered that Rebecca is not William's daughter, as everyone, including William, believed. She was fathered by the man whom Holly had dated prior to William. Holly continues to run Ojai Foods Company and deal with the fallout of the revelation that William was not Rebecca's father.
